Galago is a South African based shoe brand, based in Johannesburg but with stockists all over the world. Adhiambo is the brain child behind this wonderful espadrille brand and proves that with a bit of tenacity and a sprinkling of creativity, you really can conquer an industry.
The Brief:
Adhiambo needed to move her website from WordPress to Shopify. She needed a platform which was easy to use and easy to grow with. One of the biggest tasks when replatforming any website is making sure all URLs are redirected to the new website, otherwise all traffic is lost and SEO has to start from scratch which wasn't an option, especially with an existing, successful brand. And if you're curious, yes, we successfully redirected all URLs and maintained consistent traffic after going live with Shopify. Galago's traffic is also growing steadily since replatforming.
